CYRIS

THEORY FICTION | ANIMATION | 2015

The animation uses the eye of a dust particle, as a narrating apparatus, to tell a story of a man becoming an ocular stomach. He is swallowing pixels, and sometimes it revolts in a vomit. The body itself is a site of an eternal quantum loop. The film is edited using an agent-based simulation that generates stranded districts, empty lots, camps of urban nomads, ants nests, trojans-farm. What the character inhabits is a heap of broken worlds rising from its bed of bones and codes. A world imperceptibly coming apart in his mind.
